Hi, how do I remove the entire “Author” section, the “Download” and “Calendar” in the sidebar?

I d really like to use the theme, but I want the sidebar (with exception of pages) to be just widgets that I load.

This is the best theme I ve seen in a long time. Good design. Hopefully it ll be easy to make these changes.

Also, is version 2.0 missing the style sheet? It won t seem to load.

  5. Ranger D says:

I figured out me “version 2.0″ problem.

When I load the them in WordPress, the log, author photo, etc. don t carry over to other pages.

Seems like other designs out there are more user friendly, but this theme has the color selection and visual appeal that others don t.

    Hi Ranger,

If you want to customize the sidebar (to remove the Author, calendar and download sections), go to yoghourt directory (/wp-content/themes/yoghourt/) and open sidebar.php in a web editor (E.g. Notepad). Remove all the sections you don t want.

For the plugins (or widgets), you need to Upload them to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory and to activate them through the ‘Plugins menu in WordPress. If required, add few lines of code to sidebar.php to display the plugin wherever you want on your webpage.

I can t really explain you how to install a widget as the installation always differs from one to another. I therefore recommend you report to the installation section of the widget/plugin (e.g. http://lesterchan.net/wordpress/readme/wp-useronline.html).

I will try to see how I can make it more user friendly in a new version. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Is there an easy way that I can make the images tie to new pages created? Again, great theme. I ve bookmarked your site.

  8. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    2 Dec, 2007

If you want images tie to new pages, this can be done when you edit the page. You can “Upload” a photo and send it to the editor.

If what you want is to have different sidebar images for each page, I don t think it can be done.

If you need support for customizing your theme, you should visit a WordPress forum (e.g. http://wordpress.org/support/forum/7)

Hi, Really great theme, However, just installed it and there appears to be a small problem in Firefox. It is visible on your demo too at the moment. http://web-kreation.com/wp_yoghourt/ . In firefox, there is a couple of yellow blocks surrounding the search box at the top of the page. This doesn t happen in Internet Explorer. It looks a bit strange. Any ideas??Nick.

  10. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    13 Jan, 2008

I don t see this problem. Which version of Firefox are you using? Is it an older version? Could you send me a screenshot?

  11. John says:

can I add widgets to this? For example a last fm recent tracks thingy? How? :)

  12. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    31 Jan, 2008

Yes you can add Widgets directly from the control panel - Presentation->Widgets - and Drag&drop your widgets to your sidebar.

But of course, you must first download the Widget and upload it to your plugin folder. In your control panel, go to Plugins and activate your widget.

If for any reason you can t use WordPress widget, don t panic. You can still do it manually. Just open sidebar.php (wp-content/themes/yoghourt/sidebar.php) and paste the line of code into it (it might be something like <?php lastfm_tracks("username"); ?>).

In any case, you will have to report to the Plugin documentation on how to install it as each plugin installation slightly differ from each other.

Are you sure you put the theme in /wp-content/themes?

Have you activated the theme in your WordPress control panel? If not, log in and go to the site admin. Click on the Presentation tab and select the Yoghourt Theme.

Emailed you a bit ago, but wanted to tell you I “discovered” the problem by reading the comments here.

Just wanted to ask thes questions again:

1.) Why does the logo disappear if we change the permalink structure?
2.) On Pages, it seems it s displaying the wrong Page Title in the box.

Other than that, this theme is gorgeous. You re to be commended.

I have a problem con this theme
In my blog i post the photos
in the index, the photos work ok but in the “archive s post” the photos not work
you can see here the example

    http://www.conojosdecristal.com —->look the photo
    http://www.conojosdecristal.com/?m=200805 photo not work!!!!

    Sorry for my english
If you want i can write in french or spanish

  24. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    24 May, 2008

    @ Kevin:

    1) Let s say your logo is in the theme folder under images/
So the path to your logo must be: < img src="/images/logo.jpg" alt="" />

    2) Yes, you told me but I don t see that problem on my computer. Does someone else see that?

@ Allu: No se preocupes para tu ingl s. Entiendo. Voy a contestar en ingl s para que los dem s nos entienden.

The archive.php was set not to display any images on the page. I realize that was not a good idea. I will fix it in the next release.

    Well, I have another cuestion:
I want to know who I can translate the options (“comments” “Filed under” ) that exist at the foot of every post
And i need change to the RSS because i use feedburner

I do not manage to find the file where to modify these options

  26. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    26 May, 2008

    Allu,

These questions are already answered in WordPress documentation or on their forum.

    Check them out.

  27. Allu says:

    26 May, 2008

    Sorry
But when i use other theme, these options are in spanish but not with your theme

  28. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    27 May, 2008

    Were they Spanish themes?

To translate, you need to open index.php, single.php and page.php and edit this line:
    < ?php comments_popup_link('No Comments', '1 Comment', '% Comments'); ?>

    Change it to be:
    < ?php comments_popup_link('No Comentarios', '1 Comentario', '% Comentarios'); ?>

    Change this too:

I stay to the wait of the modification of the file archive.php

@Zuber: ???? All the files are in the ZIP file (CSS and XHTML). I don t know what to tell you. Try to download it again and open it with 7zip.

    Hi Jeremie,

The theme is great! However, I have a quick question. I want to replace the intro.jpg (the orange banner with swirls) with a slideshow of different pictures instead (that take the visitor to a relevant page when clicked on). How do I go about this since the intro.jpg is not technically a header…

When I made the changes to the header.php file where the intro begins (), it just messed up the layout, and the slideshow showed up just below the intro not instead of it.

Also, any suggestions on what coding to use for slideshow would be great (I m thinking of using javascript right now).

  34. Jeremie Tisseau says:

    29 Sep, 2008

The intro is in header.php (<div id="intro">...</div>). Replace this code by your slideshow and it should work. You must also make sure the size of your slideshow doesn t exceed the size of the intro or it will push other page elements.

A good slideshow plugin for WordPress is the nextgen-flashviewer plugin. Apart from the flash galleries, it also contains slideshows and the nextgen gallery.

Thanks Jeremie! I ll give it a shot and see what comes up!

Hello Jeremiah, I use your theme for a blog on Vietnam (www.horizon-du-vietnam.com). Can you help me ? When I created a new page, this is the default page.php which is used. I created a personal page, but how do I select it ? Because in the administration of WordPress I have no other choice except the page.php or nofound.php page ? Thank you for your reply. And thank you again for this beautiful theme. Pierre
